<<If the pictures are real it shows the military is not perfect, if indeed, we ever thought it was.>>

Have you seen Chalabi is suspected of sending sensitive information to Iran?

msnbc.msn.com

These abuses do much more than just illustrate an imperfect military.

First of all, reporting is that it is systemic, that humiliating these men in this way is an interrogation technique we're using, not just some bad apples having a little morbid fun.

But it's worse than if, say, the NYPD is caught abusing a suspect or prisoner.

This puts our troops in greater danger, it incites the Iraqis against us and potentially puts our entire mission in jeopardy.

This is no small thing.

On a side note, it's amazing how digital photography has virtually rendered photos to hearsay.

Hearing for soldier linked to al-Qaida
National Guard Spc. Ryan Anderson of Lynnwood is accused of trying to pass information to the enemy.

I am familiar with the story. The guy is actually a big time loser who had very little info to give al Qaeda. He was trying to be a big guy........the kind that boast they've climbed Mt. Everest when it reality they freak out climbing a ladder.

Its really pretty sad but he's going to be spending some good time in jail.
