Hawkmoon;

US may not be a threat. Only that it is not seen as a fair arbiter of disputes. And the onus is on US to prove otherwise.

How do you measure the threat? By the numbers killed by islamic miltants or by their impact on world economy.

If you are going to measure by the number who are dying, then India has probably been the most affected for the last 15 years.
