Re: At the moment, ATVs are right up there at the top of my Personal Grrrrhhhh List. For my entire life, I've engaged in human powered sports. Though I've used mechanical lifts for alpine skiing, and vehicles for kayak shuttles, the essence and emphasis was always on what I could accomplish, not what some damned two-cycle engine could do for me as I passively jerked on a throttle. ATVs, snowmobiles and jet skis are all on my list of the most dreadful inventions of the 20th Century.
