Interesting. I don't know why they are "pessimistic"? If they can see that gold is not the place to be, then they should accept it and watch where the play moves. There are seasons to everything. There is always money to be made somewhere. Or should I say "paper money"?!

I don't either, but the USD is firm, I wouldn't say soaring, but certainly not tanking. Gold is weak.

Expect the unexpected. Long term rates above 4-4.5% will be enough for the next few months.

Very bad. If there is not a major devaluation of the Rand very soon, many mines will have to close. But you know I have been saying that for over a year already.
