Yes, I was puzzled by Dave's sudden parachuting in here too. What is this thread if not free wheeling? And aren't politics, including the selection of the next president, intimately related with BB&R's?

Geopolitical analysis in regard to the financial markets is one thing; the discussion partisan politics (ideology) is another. If that what the contributors to this thread want, then we can move it into the Politics forum and y'all can have at it. Otherwise, the partisan politics on this thread need to be kept to a minimum. Based on a couple of member messages, there's still an interest by some in staying the "on topic" course.
