It's not about propaganda. Tom Brokaw, Dan Rather, Ted Koppel, Tom Friedman, Helen Thomas, Bill Moyer, Walter Kronkite, Jim Lehrer and all the other US Journalists are not idiots. They are not anti US. They are what makes us great. An open Press. We report anything and everything. The journalists themselves are not that important. It's all about the system. It is about openness. Reporting the good and the bad. At the end of the day truth emerges. The main reason the Soviet Union broke down was because they couldn't compete in the open market place for ideas. Their economy couldn't compete and their science could not compete They hid things from their own people. They reported only the news that they thought were favorable to them. They were wrong. You can't compete against an open system.
