Man accused in eBay scam
NORCROSS — An Ontario man was allegedly swindled by an eBay seller in Norcross who failed to deliver promised goods.
The victim called on Tuesday to report that he had arranged to purchase a keyboard for $1,663 from the Norcross seller, but he never received it. The seller’s phone number is now disconnected, according to police reports.
Police have a suspect, but no arrest warrant had been issued at the time of the report.

The guarantee through Paypal is just the money, isn't it? At least here in Europe, Ebay doesn't care one bit if the Gucci shirt you bought is a crude imitation. I would be very surprised if they would feel liable when the diamond you buy turns out to be 1.8 carat rather than 1.9 carat, and its clarity is H, not F.
