Gee, are you weazeling-out, or WHAT?

Re: "I think a simpler system could make sense. But have not seen one put forth that would have any chance of working, nor do I have the expertise to distribute the tax load any more fairly than it is being done now. As it is now, it is more heavily weighted towards the rich, and to get it "fairer" it would have to lean the other way. Don't think the populace would support it, nor would I most likely. Gotta see it before I support it. Don't matter with you, because you just want to complain about something as near as I can tell."

>>> You claim the current system is 'more heavily weighted toward the rich'... but you won't support a fairer, flat rate sans-loopholes because you think 'the public won't go for it'????????

>>> Ha!!!!!!!

>>> Sounds like you just don't want a fairer system, regardless!

<<I think a simpler system could make sense. But have not seen one put forth that would have any chance of working, nor do I have the expertise to distribute the tax load any more fairly than it is being done now.>>

Would it be unfair to remind you what you've said to me about proposing a tax system where i don't know all the details of how or if it would work?

Why won't you acknowledge that every flat tax proposal (Armey, Forbes, Kemp) and the ones overseas exempt your first many thousands of dollars in income so the bottom pay no taxes at all?

How can you keep claiming the bottom would pay more under a flat tax system when you know that's not true?

<<Was cool of him to lighten the load for everybody>>

Why don't we all lighten our loads and just pay half of our bills? Do you really support this sort of fiscal irresponsibility we have going on?

If you do, why not just pay part of your bills every month. Sure your debt will go up, but you'll have more money in your pocket.

And that would be "cool" wouldn't it?
