the close is good. but i would certainly not classify it as a solid long side trend day. far from it. a very choppy day that most profit on sox complex is gone and then new lows before some sudden lift at the usual 3pm time.

if it is a solid long side trend day, we should be up 40 now instead of up 18, just a bit above 50% of the day's high.

Well, I think the semis look sick. I hope they recover. And now (worse than 300 on the SOXX) Lou Rukeyser has cancer but - like me -- it looks like he might be OK. I hope so. Whether you live or die, it's a horror
