I'm impressed. Though baffled. Your reference to "Cockaignish ideals", I see comes from an obscure 9th Century poem by Verderis.

What I baffled about is the meaning of the term and just what you are trying to communicate. Please advise. :)

Nice post. Well stated. I got your meaning and concur.Especially the first paragraph.

Optimistic until proven otherwise and then one finds oneself taken advantage of and some times by socio-pathic people....

And the world IS a tricky place and one has to be vigilant and search as much as possible for the truth beyond the lies we are being fed daily..
