Maybe that's why I pounced on your disingenuous comments from before, because you think the failure on your part was not trying hard enough, as if it is even possible for you to hate Bush even more.

Why do you keep talking about distaste for bush in abstract terms? Could it be that you don't have any ground to address specific points, one of which was made by ted in his post? Which is that bush's fixation for iraq has gotten the country into a terrible mess, from which there seems to be no plausible exit? Why do you suppose it is that NO ONE seems able to articulate a plan that sounds like a reasonable path out of this mess created by the many miscalulations by bush and cheney?

Ted, Interesting.......you can't accept a "dolphin" but a mental midget who has gotten us into a mess is fine. You have an interesting way of making a choice.

And you wonder why I have developed an extreme distaste for the "Anyone But Bush" crowd. Look in the mirror and figure out for yourself why you haven't gotten more people on your side.

1) Half the country and most of the world is on my side. There's a lot smoke there.

2) One of the ways we determine someone's capability/intellect is through visual and verbal interaction. That's why the interview is part of the hiring process. When it comes to speaking off the cuff, Bush is a mess. Evidence of a strong mind is quick thinking on your feet. With Bush, there is no there there.

3) Bush was the runt of the litter. Growing up, he had some real physical and emotional problems. He was a C student throughout his college career. After college, he abused drugs and alcohol. All are evidence of his inferior intellect.

4) As president, his policies reflect either a strong ideological bent or ones that will get him votes. The interests of the country are a poor third. There is no issue, including the environment, that is sacred with this man. Votes and ideology come first.

5) He started a pre emptive war on false premises and over the objections of many. With the exception of the first month, it has been a disaster.....and continues to be; one that will haunt this country for many years to come. Many people have died and will continue to die for his mistakes.

6)He has run the national budget into the ground. Pork spending is out of control; much worse than in past years. Deficit spending is now projected for another 5 years.

7) He approved tax cuts that favor the very rich.........the smallest group in this country........hardly a democratic move.

8) He has turned off many of our long term allies. Our relations with other countries are at an all time low. Global anti Americanism is on the rise.

9) During his three years, American freedoms have been reduced primarily through the Patriot Act and our military refuses to follow the Geneva Conventions; to whit, Bush has refused to ask for a declaration of war so that the Conventions he can ignore legally.

10) After three years and billions of dollars, our airports and public spaces are no more safe than they were when he took office. Report after report shows that the screening system at airports is not working. And yet, Bush's PR has the nation convinced he is strong on national security.

Those are the major items on the list..........they should be enough to convince anyone that Bush does not make a good president.

Mischaracterizations of the president aren't going to get you anywhere.

There is no need for character assassination...........the truth is ample enough.....you just need to look without partisan eyes.

Maybe that, combined with that "dolphin" named Kerry, is contributing to the fact that Bush's numbers are higher than they should be. Maybe that's why I pounced on your disingenuous comments from before, because you think the failure on your part was not trying hard enough, as if it is even possible for you to hate Bush even more.

You have a very simple way of viewing the problem. My "hating" Bush did not come out of thin air. First, my initial dislike rose out of his policies and his presentation neither of which I thought were good for this country. My dislike turned to hatred when I viewed how he manipulated and lied to the American public for his own gain. While his behavior is disgusting, the ultimate fault lies with the American public for buying into his $h*t.
