It would have to be studied by experts and politicians, maybe it already has, i don't know. If my idea is unworkable (and no doubt it is, if only for political reasons) i'm in favor of a progressive income tax that would approximate the results of my proposed wealth tax. And yes, with all the bullcrap that surround SS, the lock-box and all, i'd get rid of the payroll taxes and fund retirement benefits with the income tax. Then again, maybe a European style VAT tax would be better at approximating my idea, i suppose someone would have to look into it. <<I thought you said you didn't lie.>> Honestly, if i didn't think i could coax a better conversation out of you i'd never have spent so much time on this.
