Hi Mq: I have this out of Sebastian Hafner's splendid monography on Hitler (I guess it's "The meaning of Hitler" in English): AF had two idees fixes: world domination and the destruction of Jewry. Note that they are contradictory ... if you want to dominate the world, you have to be more democratic when it comes to defining who's Über- and who's Untermensch. But, who said, it has all to be rational... In any case, when in dec 41 the first idee fixe got shattered in snows before Moscow, he ... pushed?, let go?, decided ... the second one for real. With so much in place it did not take much more than the coordination meeting at Wannsee for the "Endlösung" to start to happen. In the dimensions I as a normal, simple, middle-of-the-road human being still can't fully grasp.
