I don't care to read enough of your posts to find out what you think about the President. Look, the Guantanamo detainees were captured in a war with blood and weapons on their hands. They are bad guys because of the circumstances under which they were caught. There is no habeas corpus in such situations, since you have forgotten. Don't patronize me about human rights over tea. I'm a coffee drinker. Americans who are overly concerned about the bad guys in Guantanamo are just Bush haters, like you. Although from the way you spell "program" obviously you aren't an American so it really doesn't matter what you think about the President. Sure I've heard the term "gooks." Also "Japs" and "Krauts." They originated as battlefield terms for the enemy and they're history. Nobody uses them any more, unless they're on a battlefield, in which case it's forgivable. As for the pejorative "nigger" this country has turned over Heaven and Earth to eradicate it, in case you haven't heard. I never use the term. It's for ignoramuses. Nobody hates the Japanese anymore because they LOST. Nobody hates the Swiss because they were neutral. They're both rich, and suitably impotent, because the allies WON! Germany too. Ignorant people hate America because we're POWERFUL as a result of our FREEDOM. People who think a little bit about it try to crash our borders so they can get some. And as far as abuse of prisoners go, ask my father-in-law about his neighbors in Stalag Luft III, from which 76 Allied POWs escaped. The great majority of them were summarily executed after being recaptured. Dad stayed in a different building for two years, but ate the same sauerkraut, hence the pejorative. Not to mention that they marched Dad 300 miles in the dead of winter with no warm clothing or shelter. No, I don't think it was OK for those soldiers to abuse the Iraqis and they will be properly disciplined -- UNLIKE the folks who abused Jessica Lynch and other American soldiers. As for human rights, The United States has enough that our population is rapidly growing from people trying to get IN to this country, so don't lecture me about the lack of human rights in America.
