It's not the "article" that says those phrases. It is American diplomats, some of them to US emissaries to the ME that have written those words.

Maybe you should take up your arguments to them. I have a funny feeling they might be slightly more familiar with the issue than you or I anyway.

Whoa, having 3 million palestinians return to Israel (is that number for Gaza alone?), is that reasonable?

Perhaps. Perhaps not. Maybe Israel should negotiate that with Palestinians, not Bush.

Besides, weren't you saying Israel was going to withdraw from Gaza? What is it to you if millions of Palestinians return to Gaza?

Maybe the diplmats are democrats trying to make political hay against Bush.

Or maybe you are in denial and a bit too ready to view as biased everything pointing at the injustice going on under the boot of your precious little Israel. Maybe these American diplomats actually know what they are talking about. Maybe you should consider that "diplomats" are the likes of US ambassadors to the region and not partisan busybodies throwing mud.

The article you posted says Sharon's unilateral plan tosses "away the rights of 3 million Palestinians," and denies them "the right of refugees to return to their homeland."

Whoa, having 3 million palestinians return to Israel (is that number for Gaza alone?), is that reasonable? Obviously to do so would mark the end of Israel. But to even give currency to the idea shows an unsavory bias against Israel by the former U.S. diplomats, imo. Maybe the diplmats are democrats trying to make political hay against Bush.

If 'right of return' is unreasonable as you suggest above, why hasn't Israel offered restitution for the Arab property they confiscated back in 1948?
