Great post, Ira, thanks for your thoughts.

I used to do some diagonals on MSFT years ago, and recently posted here on an idea using their leaps. But I've gotten away from the idea recently and been using more straight calendars, don't know why exactly.

Low commissions and tight bid-ask on active options also help a lot. And the tech names you mention are great for this type play when the market is in a trading range.
