And of course, we might add, when we do the above AND forget that the end is always in doubt. Because sometimes we will have to justify our means, in the face of a rather bad end, that was not what we intended.

Some good may come of all this. Our reputation as being softies is ruined, and insurgents will think twice about about taking any action resulting in their capture.

June 30 is just another date, the turnover appears to have already begun with the Iraqis recommending an Iraqi General for the Fallugha job.

From now on the insurgents will be acting against their own people and the new government instead of just the the US.
