You said:

"Hence, Kerry could be prosecuted for war crimes (or even for his failure to notify senior officers of the commission of those war crimes)."

You said he could be tried for war crimes. I guess that would lead one to the assumption that you believe he was a war criminal.

What I said was that Kerry himself admitted to engaging in atrocities.

I'll take this as a restatement of your sentiment. I do recall Kerry admitting to committing atrocities, but I did not see where he said he committed war crimes. There is a difference there.

I can see how soldiers who were following orders could have committed atrocities, not realizing that they were war crimes or atrocities at the time. Then later realizing it and stating such. As many have pointed out, Kerry's time in Vietnam was about 120 days. He may not have known then what he knew later when he studied the matter further.

Perhaps it would have been better to say, "Hence, Kerry could be investigated for war crimes and if probable cause existed to charge, to be prosecuted for war crimes."

You've softened your words again to "could be investigated for war crimes". Which war crimes should he be investigated for? Specifically please.

I do think that you may have a valid point here about Kerry. Let's explore this more. Which events, that Kerry admitted to, should be investigated as war crimes?

I'm waiting for your answer. You do have specific events that you would like to see investigated...right?
