A compliment to Byrd----his knowledge of parliamentary procedure is astounding. The training that parliamentary procedure gives to brain argues for clarity of thinking----although I disagree with some of his fundamental premises.

It's understandable for people to dismiss Senator Byrd, as the media ignores what he has to say. I didn't think much about him until I saw that he was standing virtually alone in the Senate trying his damnedest to at least have a debate before we invaded Iraq, and they all ran for cover like roaches when the light is switched on. That is when I started reading what he had to say. Once in a while he can be heard on CSPAN. He is one of the few that has the right to say I told you so. Del
