yes, win xp has a firewall. but, it doesn't stop a program from dialing out like zone alarm does. this tid bid of advice i picked up on this board :)

Suma, if you want free, I recommend ZA and Avast! for an antivirus program. Avast! talks to you after it has upgraded av definitions. Get it here avast.com

Note that the dates are European, i.e. 3.5.2004 is May 3.
