For some reason they will not provide it. They tried to buffalo thread members who are not familiar with the military awards process and wanted to provide the citation itself calling it the supporting document. Believe me, the military has a complete file on this Silver Star. kerry probably has one himself. What we really need is the witness statements..... there were probably three of them.... we need to read the statements to see exactly what happened.... If it turns out he chased down a VC who lowered his arms and was cowering as he hide behind a building and kerry killed him.... it may have been an execution.... only the supporting documents will tell the whole story. There is the possibility that he should have been courts-martialed rather than decorated.... I hope that is not the truth, but I would be much more comfortable knowing for sure exactly what happened..... kerry was an officer who knew the short cuts.... he knew to receive the purple heart he would have to go on sick call.... and he keep his sliver in there until the next a.m. he was too embarrassed or either to slick to have it treated as an emergency.....
