That's a different O'Neill. He has nothing to do with Kerry. The O'Neil I'm talking about is a rightwing dirty trickster and longtime liar about war heros like McCain, Cleland and Kerry. He has no shame and no honor.

33 years ago, Kerry did a great thing. He helped end the war after being a hero in it. He has already apologized if any of his young angry words hurt anyone but they were true words and they had an affect. Anyone who thinks atrocities weren't everyday occurences in Vietnam is blind. It was 100 times worse than Iraq and look at what we have there in that prison.

Former Navy officer John O'Neill is a life-long Democrat. He had a much longer tour of duty in Vietnam (over a yr) than John Kerry (merely 4mos). The latter through great personal effort managed to parlay those 4mos into a race for the WH. O'Neill was often requested during past 30yrs to comment on Kerry's less important political races but he declined. He explained on TV last night that this election is far too important for the country, so he could not remain silent.

The Rear Admiral who was Kerry's Vietnam CO was one of the 20 signers of the letter declaring him unfit to be Commander-in-Chief. The word "infamy" applies much more appropriately to John Kerry than O'Neill.

>>O'Neill has already had his 15 minutes of notoriety (or infamy IMO).<<
