Nonsense. What "serious" anything are they talking about? Atrocities? Well they were real. Kerry didn't commit then but simply told the truth. And the truth helped end the war and set us free of it. That war was one of the most evil things ths US government ever did. And Kery had earned the right to tell it like it was.

But he also apologized for any hurtful language 33 years ago when he was very angry and wanted that war to end. The problem was not soldiers it was the war itself. The responsibility was Nixon's and Johnson's. That much MacNamara has already admitted. The lies told to the US public were legion and the rightwing did the lying. Not to mention the old Bectel and Halliburton. Yep, they were making billions off wars then too. The war also bankrupted our economy for a decade afterward, at least. The whole Carter economic problems were Vietnam based.

The bottomline is Kerry was a true hero and the Bush-Cheney ticket were both draft-dodgers who now lie, steal and cheat. Of course there are always rightwing vets who will say anything to help Cheney and Bush, but no good American should ever attack a war hero for his service in any way. That's close to treason, at least in a moral sense. When the rightwing starts attacking our war heros, they've discredited themselves. And it's nbot just Kerry, it's McCain and Cleland too. Could be anyone. They don't care.
