Nobody's a war criminal, but the White House and top brass lied, lied, lied during the Vietnam era. And the same people attacking Kerry now were involved with false body-counts, cover-ups and character assassination during the Vietnam era. The point is, it took great courage and character to come out against that war after returning from combat. Not only was Kerry right (some of his more colorful language excepted) but he spoke out at great personal cost. Nixon himself vowed to "destroy" Kerry with the help of O'Neill's buddy Chuck Colson. It's right on the Watergate tapes, you can't deny it. for the next two years Kerry was under FBI surveillance. Big Brother was watching, but of course Kerry did nothing wrong. In fact he helped end the war saving thousands of lives. He deserves more medals for that.
