Sorry Mike.
It was no lecture. I was blowing off some steam.

You have a made a lot of very good and quite valid points.

We disagree only in one area.
The notion of killing or capturing enemy soldiers but not abusing them is difficult for me to fully comprehend and I know the rules. Shooting to kill a wounded soldier fleeing for his life earns a Silver Star but taking his picture nude gets you 20 at hard labor makes little sense to me. Modesty does not exist on battlefields.

One incident of prisoner sex abuse by six soldiers does not change a war. This was not Dachau. It was an isolated incident. By any war standards this incident would normally be considered punishable but minor on the big scale. It should be dealt with and will be...but we have to move on and get on with the war.

War is the ultimate abuse of humans by humans.
The bloody slaughter of 20 Israeli women and young children by Muslim militant extremists doesn't get this much attention and it is repeated over and over.

If America can forget about Khobar Towers, we will be able to put this behind us too. Just as soon as the press gets over their need to display the visuals.
