Bush is from the most elite family in the USA. Unlike Kerry, his father's name gave him everything he ever got in life. He went to Andover-Yale-Harvard, the ultimate Yankee WASP old money schools. He attended Harvard after leaving the Guard 8 months early simple because he wanted to, this after going AWOl from Guard duty for most of 1972. despite many requests for proof GW ever showed up for duty in 1972, the White House has yet to produce anything except that he had a dental appointment that year. Kerry admits he was someone of privilege but was not rich and when it was his his turn to serve his country in combat, he not only went, he volunteered and fought very courageously.
