Proof that the Talmud is Judaism's Holiest Book and FOLLOWED TODAY

Rabbi Joseph D. Soloveitchik is regarded as one of the most influential rabbis of the 20th century, the "unchallenged leader" of Orthodox Judaism and the top international authority on halakha (Jewish religious law). Soloveitchik was responsible for instructing and ordaining more than 2,000 rabbis, "an entire generation" of Jewish leadership.

N.Y. Times religion reporter Ari Goldman described the basis of the rabbi's authority:
"Soloveitchik came from a long line of distinguished Talmudic scholars ... Until his early 20s, he devoted himself almost exclusively to the study of the Talmud ... He came to Yeshiva University's Elchanan Theological Seminary where he remained the pre-eminent teacher in the Talmud ... He held the title of Leib Merkin professor of Talmud ... sitting with his feet crossed in front of a table bearing an open volume of the Talmud." (N.Y. Times, April 10, 1993, p. 38).

Nowhere does Goldman refer to Soloveitchik's knowledge of the Bible as the basis for being one of the top world authorities on Jewish law. The rabbi's credentials are all predicated upon his mastery of the Talmud. All other studies are clearly secondary. He is the responsible for educating the present Jewish rabbinnical leadership.

I've probably had a lot more experience with Jews than you and I can tell you that of all that I know, probably not more than 2 can tell you what is in the Talmud, let alone live by it.

Irrespective of Emile's lies, today's real beliefs are formulated in passages very similar to many found in the New Testament, e.g., Golden Rule v. 10 Commandments.

Most Jews today follow a form of evolving religion and I believe that most Christians do the same. I don't know enough about Islam to suggest that there is evolution to the same extent there.

Do you seriously not see the flaw in judging today's people and their beliefs with some passage, which is merely commentary on the law of the time, that is irrelevant today?

I know you follow Emile but try using some logic.

If he found a passage that said Jews were sighted on a space ship from Mars, would you believe him? That's pretty much the value of his commentary, his "Talmud." The internet is today's commentary.

Would you want Christianity to be judged in the future by internet commentary by Christians that condone pedophilia or other perverse acts? This is what Emile is preaching and I'm amazed that you can't see this.
