My broker friend at Odlum Brown in Vancouver, he's post-retirement and goes in for the thrill, (I say friend as I don't have an account there - he only deals with very high net worth individuals) tells me there is a large property, with what increasingly looks like very nice reserves, coming onstream in Northern Canada and a few trusts are set to benefit, here are two: Baytex Energy (BTE_U.TO) and Crescent Point (CPG_U.TO). Apparently other brokers concur in bullishness on CPG_U.TO: March 04: newratings.com April 04: buyside.com Personally, I defer to the learned and experienced. (Buffett, etc) in times like these.
