Israel was created as a Jewish State because of the immense destruction of the world's Jewry in Europe during the Holocaust. It was intended to be a safe haven for Jews so the Holocaust could never occur again. That is a different mindset than the U.S. Hence, that is your answer.

You're mixing apples and oranges. Emile, whom I thought you were defending, rants against Jews, irrespective of whether they live in Israel. As I posted, he is clearly mistaken and, more likely, lying and libeling an entire people with passages from ancient tomes, taken out of historical context, and which passages have no relevance to today's world. Israel - is a democracy in a region of strive, terror and tyranny. There is more freedom of religion in Israel than in any other nation of the Mideast.

James, Can you establish a Christian church in a moslem nation, or a buddhist nation?? Of course not, because they are nations that are ruled by leaders that insist on the use of their religion as a governing basis. That is the same as in Israel, which was the intention of the rest of the world when they allowed the dispersed Jews of the world to have their homeland, promised by God, in the bible you so cherish, and was voted on by the United Nations to be a Jewish state. I can tell you one thing, for sure. A Christian is more respected for his religious views in Israel, than in any muslim, or buddhist, nation.
