albert, I wasn't quoting the Koran. I was quoting the history books. And I said "relatively peaceful." They had problems, but Jews were treated better in Jerusalem and Antioch than in Aragon or the HRE. And Christians were treated better in the Muslim controlled Holy Land than Muslims were treated once the so-called Christians took power again in those lands. In fact, the crusader Christians slaughtered most of the native Christians when they captured Jerusalem. There has always been a Muslim tenet, often not followed, to show respect to "people of the Book," which includes Jews and Christians.
