Whoever tortured prisoners should be held accountable. If torture needs to be done for security reasons, the US government knows how to do it, hand them over to locals. Just the way we did in Nam. But for US soldiers or corporate security to do this costs us tens of billions of dollars in lost progress over there. Now there is no chance of us ever being accepted, at least so long as Cheney-Bush are in control. A new president might change things substantially though. Also, why hasn't Rumsfeld at least been fired? This is the most inept and dishonest war we've ever seen. They are needlessly costing of the lives of too many of our people, not to mention wasting hundreds of billions of dollars.
