In this morning's Charlotte Observer columnist Doug Robarchek makes the point that we can't say we weren't warned. The Republicans told us what would happen if Al Gore won the 2000 election: 1. We would go to war. 2. The national debt would soar. 3. The economy would tank. 4. The stock market would collapse. 5. There would be rampant unemployment. 6. The Dollar would decline in value. 7. We would have a huge budget deficit. Well, they were right--Gore won and all those things happened. CC
