Yeah, but their tolerance history ended about 1000 years ago and it's downhill ever since. Islam has a much richer history of religious tolerance than Christianity...

Kevin, That's what I was saying. The crusading Christians also killed the local Christians because they looked funny. Though there have been many examples of Muslim intolerance, especially for Armenians. The Ottomans slaughtered Armenians like there was no tomorrow. Sometimes it depended upon the Sultan. Beyazet executed all of his French and Hungarian POWs, even those who could have brought a rich ransom. And he threatened to put Timur The Lame in a cage after killing his entire army. Except Timur won the battle, Beyazet ended up in a cage and the Sultana had to serve Timur's dinner guests while totally nude for the rest of her life. I love the middle ages. <G>
