RE:"Screw politics, this is serious."

So who's over-reacting now john boy?

After 9/11 you said the country is over-reacting...that it was no biggie.

re: The army also said yesterday that one soldier had been court-martialed for using excessive force in shooting to death an Iraqi prisoner last September. The soldier was reduced in rank and dismissed from the army.

You've got to love the military, "excessive force = shooting to death".

And you've got to love the sentence........."reduction in rank and dismissal from the army". The cost of murder sure went down fast. I wonder what the Geneva Conventions say about that......oh wait, Rummy doesn't believe in the Conventions.

I don't know how many people were around for Vietnam, but I have the same exact sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I really hoped I would never experience the same disgust, wrt my own country, that I did in those years.

I have felt a sick feeling in my stomach ever since election, 2000. We took a very wrong turn back then and all that's followed has affirmed my worse fears.

The war supporters in those years kept saying "Love it or leave it" to the anti-war folks. The anti-war folks turned out to be right.

So who is right now? I think the folks that are supporting this war need to step back, take a deep breath, forget their prejudice, and weigh the evidence. Be objective.

They won't........that's why I've given up reasoning with them. There are switches in their brains that just don't work properly. And those of you who have this problem, and you know who you are, don't even try to refute it.

Almost the entire country changed their mind about Vietnam. The sooner folks open their minds, and change their minds about Iraq, the fewer the US kids will die.

Screw politics, this is serious.

Agreed........its time to stop talking and take a stance.
