Look for BOTH major Parties to fall all over themselves to see who can raise minimum wage the highest.

agreed on almost all counts, nice summary
in my background, difficulty with wage income was a given
and given that, price mechanisms will surely change consumption pattern

nice bold call on shrinking carry trade spread
I think you underestimate how much interest LT rates will rise
we might see FedFunds rise more than LT market rates !!!
WORST OF BOTH WORLDS
higher rates with removal of carry trade engine plant !!!

with widespread price inflation, you have erosion of fixed money
that is inescapable, even in the face of wage stagnation or decline

why do you have such a hard time foreseeing stagflation over the horizon ???
stagnating economy
rising inflation and interest rates

how did interest rates rise in the 1974-1980 timeframe?

Does anyone have an idea about how the housing crash will come?
The main thing I have is my condo in California and it's been a good bet against inflation. Will it be things turn slowly and I will start noticing sales prices on housing is going the other direction? It won't fall all at once or 20% a month (barring an earthquake) will it?
