" chastised his defense secretary, Donald H. Rumsfeld ".. This matter is so unfortunate. 10's of thousands of troops there are doing what they believe to be a just and worthy job.They have been trying to win the hearts and minds of the populations of various cities,while embattled with those who see things differently from both the council and the " occupiers ". Now this. And although the " abuse "...( note : it was called torture when on the receiving end )cannot and should not be justified by making comparisons, like some have been quick to do,it can be understood by those who have lost their comrades in battle and who seek retribution. But the very odd thing that appears as consistent during this latest fiasco , is the Bush Administration's propensity to finger point at those who aren't actually up for re-(s)selection.You know..the hired hep. It's always someone else's fault, to the degree that one wonders if the (S) elected people ever actually DO anything , since they never appear to have made a mistake! No one moves..no one gets hurt? Does anyone ever actually get fired in this outfit , or do they all just resign in disgust over time? Isn't it time the CEO took some responsibility for the direction his company is heading here?
