OT - TFriedman has been all over the map on this issue. At one point he said that our effort in Iraq was the boldest foreign policy initiative since WW 2. There are a lot of weak currencies in the world and most people who are seeking a better place to house their money will use good sense and not politics as their criterion. If we win this war nothing else will matter, if we lose - then your worst fears are likely to be realized. What foreigners hate most about the US is that we will be much stronger if we pull this off.
