"I am sick to death of "Vietnam." "

Me too Gina. Will our kids and grandkids say the same about iraq? All i know is that the attacks on kerry will backfire and be another factor in costing bush the election. I called the vets supporting kerry during the primary hippy vets. Now we have the Limbaugh vets savaging him. Mike

Let's try to look at Vietnam in a different light for once. Let's try to get to the truth about all of those horrible atrocities John Kerry talked about in his testimony to the US congress on April 22, 1971. I know it would be painful, but sometimes the truth is painful, no? If we can make such a big deal about the horrible events that took place in the prison at Abu Gharib we certainly can discuss the facts surrounding these supposed horrible crimes that Kerry says took place in Vietnam.

I don't think we can stop the venting that is starting to occur and it's important that John Kerry be a part of that discussion considering his aforementioned testimony.

Americans don't always allow enough time and effort to important issues and I don't think the conversation about the Vietnam War is finished.

Just because some are "sick to death" of "Vietnam" doesn't change the fact that John Kerry opened a door that Veterans seem willing to step through. I've always felt like something was missing. I've always had this hollow feeling in my gut......that there was more to this story than was being told. The door is open, and the time is now, to make sure that *everyone* in our nation is finally given the time necessary to heal.
