"Did you see any war crimes?" Beck asked point-blank.

"No," said O'Neill. "Not only did I not see any - there were none. They never occurred. We used tremendous self-restraint."

Oh I see...he only wanted to commit war crimes...but held himself back.

Beck indicated that he had heard rumors of American atrocities in Vietnam, and invited listeners who had been in Vietnam to call and discuss their experiences. Leaving the phone lines of his nationally syndicated show open for about 90 minutes and speaking with dozens of Vietnam veterans, only one person claimed to have witnessed atrocities of the type described by Kerry as occurring on a "day-to-day basis".

Not many people want to talk about atrocities...especially ones that happened 30 years ago...a lot of vets were changing the dial when this show came on.

I have met more than one vet that told me of many of the same things happening in Vietnam that Kerry spoke of. Remember when he spoke about those things, he had just been at a meeting of vets, and atrocities were being discussed.

Sure maybe O'Neil was able to "restrain himself" from committing atrocities...but many others did not, or were commanded to do things that would be considered war crimes.
