The Colson connection is fabrication on your part. O'Neill said when he spoke to Pres Nixon he informed the pres that he was a Democrat. Nixon asked him if he would be willing to speak out & challenge Kerry's false assertions about atrocities. O'Neill agreed to do so. One of O'Neill's friends is the Chairman of the Democrat Party in their state. The friend has stated that O'Neill rarely voted straight party line but frequently suppported Democrats. In fact, he was prepared to do so for this election before his nemesis, Kerry, became the nominee. You're willing to savage one of your own to score points. That was Kerry's philosophy when he slandered his former friends in order to win elected office.
