This coming from a liberal. The Dems have not been kind to Laura Bush. They consider her too politically neutral & pleasant. Hillary Clinton is their ideal woman--they forget that she would never have been elected by NY women if her husband didn't humiliate her as First Lady. NY Leage of Women Voters gave her the senate seat as a consolation prize. I'm sure Teresa's party switch had nothing to do with the fact that her husband convinced her to help him win the presidency. That was mere coincidence.
