morokko - excellent, thanks for sharing your techniques. I will look at those as well and try to develop my own game plan (may steal a page here and there!). My investment club bought some UCPIX (small-cap short) just recently and I had intended to get some too, but of course I waited and now the markets is getting slammed and I'm pretty sure if I get some it will cause the markets to rally hugely. That seems to be how it works. Using crusty's ease in to the water, not dive in to the deep end makes sense too...scale in to it...

p.s. I thought UOPIX is the opposite fund of USPIX, but I see there is a ULPIX too...hmmm...not sure what the difference is
