By no means. And perhaps "actual" is a better term. The main point is that we recoil easily from scenes smacking of perversion, it is hard to think past the disgust.

It seems that the ones that were humiliated had started fights boardering on riots. Not enough personal or solitary cells so the only way to deal with it humiliate the leaders until they withdrew into themselves. Then again the pictures should have been burned. One of the people in the discussion was a Federal Marshall who sometimes moved felons from prison to prison by air. He said when he had to move a hard ass he always asked for a strip search. Several big guards with clubs, naked prisoner, look in the ears, nose open mouth, skin it back, lift them up and the bend and spread while donning the glove. Made them a lot more docile for the trip.
