Oh Cobalt, how disappointing.

Surely you can do better than the tired old chestnut about how if I am not a liberal, I must have problems in my life.

Not being a liberal = bad mental health.
Being Euro-centric = really bad mental health.

Did you think this idea up all by yourself??

No, actually you didn’t.

Actually, the idea has been around since at least 1950 when a book by Adorno, Frenkel-Brunswik, Levison and Sanford was published.

The Authoritarian Personality.

[Quote about Authoritarian Personality from Christpher Lasch's “The True and Only Heaven,” p. 453]:

“By identifying the ‘liberal personality’ as the antithesis of the authoritarian personality, they equated mental health with an approved political position. They defended liberalism … on the grounds that other positions had their roots in personal pathology.”

Try again, but this time, a little panache, a little verve, a tiny little spark of creativity, would be ever so much appreciated.
