RE: "All I am suggesting is that the Israelis learn to share."

Tejek, it's the Lukid Party, not the Israeli people.

Popular vote among Israelis is to share.

Regards,
Amy J

"Palestinians live in the squalor their leaders have created for them. Either you accept that or you don't.

I refuse to accept it........it sounds like Israeli propaganda."

Actually, it's a bit of political/military theory I read from some British or Canadian guy named Gwynn Dyer or is it Dwyer, I'm not sure. I have his book somewhere if I haven't given it away. It's his contention, not mine, that the purpose of terrorism is to force an escalation of military pressure on the people the terrorists are presumably representing, so that the increased pain and suffering will make "the oppressed" more amenable to fighting and dying for "the cause."

"Of course, it matters to our conversation; otherwise, you would not have asked me...."

I was just having fun, it doesn't matter to me whether your lithuanian, estonian or latvian or whatever. I will say that my parental roots likely make me more sympathetic to Israel, but those same roots had made me sympathetic earlier to the PA. My folks come from an oppressed area of the world, in fact, I have no living relatives because they've all been shoot or died in a gulag in Siberia. My parents never engaged in the hate rhetoric like the PA. My father's father was a prominent religious leader too, but he never shouted the hate you hear mullahs cry day and night. Sorry, I don't accept as legitimate the path to nationhood the PA is currently following. But, that's just me. If they're heroes to you great.
