I know one thing, Hagel has often stood up the the lies and arrogance of the Bushies, and that has taken courage. Like Kerry, his courage was honed in battle. I don't know that much about him otherwise though he's been mentioned as a dark horse to run with Kerry if he were to pull a shocker and run with a Republican.

My county in Ca used the electronic machines last time so I voted absentee.

Our Sec of State is outlawing the electronic machines due to the lack of a paper ballot to double check the system. I am happy they will not allow the use without a paper trail.

I also believe that the exit polls were accurate in 2000...........Gore did win FLorida. The Dems just didn't fight hard enough and they didn't recount the right counties. There were more overvotes in the Republican controlled counties that would have given Gore the election.
