only rode in one, once, since I've lived in the Amish territory --

tooearly, it was a very pleasant experience. You asked for it <g>

We had a big snow here year before last. I left the office early, but got stuck on a hill right before I got out of town -- took me half an hour to get around folks spinning their wheels. When I got home I was tired. Put my feet up and then I got a phone call -- one of my Amish neighbors sons (all these guys work somewhere framing houses -- they can't make a living on farming alone) was calling me on his boss' cellphone. Wanted me to tell his folks he wasn't going to be home for a while. I didn't want to get the car out, so I walked the 2-3 tenths of a mile to my neighbors house.

Man, they had the wood stove going so hot, I don't know why they had any clothes on in there at all <g>.

Anyway, took it as an oppty to visit and when I got done -- they asked me if I wanted a ride. Kinda neat to be riding through the snow in the dark being pulled by a horse -- I enjoyed it --

Maybe I should buy my team now before the price goes up?? <g>
