REJ: "sieze the moment "

You obviously do not travel around the world, otherwise you would realize it is extremely critical the govt addresses this crisis.

This incident has the potential for this poor image to become a security issue when you travel the world.

RE: "Rep. John Conyers of Detroit sent a letter to President Bush demanding Rumsfeld's resignation, saying photos of U.S. soldiers abusing Iraqis in Abu Ghraib prison put U.S. troops at increased risk of attack."

If firing Rumsfeld will make us all safer, then Rumsfeld needs to go.

Rumsfeld is no Powell. That is for sure.

Powell makes us safer, while Rumsfeld appears to put us all at risk.

I certainly hope the rumors about Powell not wanting to run another four years are not true. If anyone is needed, it's him. He's got good common sense on how to handle international issues. Powell is intelligent and understands how not to inflame foreigners. How to minimize risk.
