I think most of us get it. Most who are literate will not defend bad treatment of prisoners

You are going to post on and on with your BS and crap to the extent that it will make many of us wish you were in that prison. Who knows what anyone would do in situations of war. If I had to listen to someone like you, hey, I'd probably subject you to torture, make you do 3 pushups, you weenie.

Your moronic conspiracy mush has been discredited even in the Duranged world and on the "Bush did 9/11" thread.

The lack of planning in the occupation is a further reason not to vote for Bush. In all likelihood, the US will change administrations unless Mr. Kerry finds a way to lose (not an impossibility and he is working hard at this). The American fabric still has much good and bad, just as the European cloth is both beautiful and full of holes at times. Human beings make mistakes. You are not superior, hiding in your basement, always being critical, seeming to know what drives the world, yet being blind to reality.

The reason you are sitting there "free" in your weenie basement is because of GI's. Of course, you're too paranoid and stupid to realize it.

its greatest crises since the 1850s

External wars invite the kind of chaos and reorganization of the military which will allow the neocons to:

1) Place their apparachiks in the upper command structure of the military.

2) Prepare the public for having the intelligence agencies and military operate within the borders of the U.S. (To releive the struggling national guard who is busy overseas).
They may need another terrorist attack to actually activate the military.

It sure looks like the intent is to get a military they control ready for Civil War. Once in place they will push the divisive hot button social issues hard enough to start the hostilities.

1850s - If the analogy is correct there are about 10 years to prepare.
