Hopefully we will find that out, Michael!

And I agree with your bet.

Michael the photographs weren't leaked. A leak is when official government, or corporate or organisation information is passed to somebody outside.

President Bush says that the actions were certainly NOT official.

The link npr.org to the 53 page report marked "Secret/Not for foreign dissemination" is a leak.

What's good about the USA is that reports like that are done.

Really, given the overall situation and what was done, it's pretty trivial in the broad scheme of things. Iraqis might say that they are mortally offended. I don't believe it. They say they'd rather be tortured by Saddam than treated like that. I don't believe it.

But I'd be really annoyed too as the USA is supposed be bringing freedom, light, happiness, democracy, prosperity etc, not more of the same, albeit less of it. This is like the Rodney King beating - it goes on and isn't official, but it happens so much that it sort of is official, unofficially official but when exposed, everyone runs for cover, meanwhile, resentment against "the pigs" grows.

Personally, I think women in the military is a questionable idea [look at who is featured - minx in the photo and bewildered one star general, promoted for gender reasons no doubt - the boss gets brownie points for promoting a girl, or diversity person].
